Kari Wuhrer was born April 28, 1967. She is an American musician and actor. Wuhrer made her acting debut when she was in her teens. Her most well-known role was as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for her role as Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has been blessed with three brothers. As a teenager was a nightclub singer in the night, as well as sneaking out of her family home to perform. The actress studied acting since when she was 13 years old at Wooster School. Later, she studied the art of drama at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with famed instructor Uta Hagen.Kari Samantha Wuhrer was an American actor, model and singer. Born on April 28th, 1967 and was raised in Brookfield, Connecticut. She is the daughter a German-American father and a German-American mother. Kari is one of the three youngest children. Kari performed in nightclubs while she was in her teens. Kari would get away at night to sing and entertain her friends. Kari started acting in the Wooster school at the age of 13 and then went on to study drama in NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Columbia University Marymount Manhattan College as well as the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art under the famous Uta Hagen. Kari stepped into acting as a teenager, and her first television break was in 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
